Maple Pecan Popcorn


For Maple Popcorn
  • 6 cups of popped popcorn
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 stick of butter

Candied Pecans

  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp water
  • 1/4 tsp maple syrup
  • 1/8 tsp salt


      1. Prepare popcorn
      2. For candied pecans, in a medium skillet over medium/low heat, toast pecans until fragrant (about 5 minutes)
      3. While toasting pecans, in a small bowl, mix brown sugar, water, maple syrup, and salt
      4. Remove pecans from heat and add maple sugar mixture, stirring constantly
      5. Once sugar mixture has hardened to pecans, spread on a baking sheet to cool
      6. In a large pot, melt butter, brown sugar and maple syrup
      7. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes
      8. Add 1 tsp baking soda and stir, mixture will expand
      9. Remove from heat, add popcorn, and stir until evenly coated
      10. Spread on a baking sheet to allow to cool and set
      11. Once everything has cooled, chop pecans into bite size pieces and mix into popcorn
